Creating Genealogy Tree with the
Missouri Census Records!
As per the 2010 US Census, Missouri was the 18th most populous state with approximately 5,988,927 people residing. The first Missouri Federal Census was taken in the year 1810 and since then it has been taken every 10 years. Sadly, the 1890 Decennial Census schedules were destroyed in the 1921 warehouse fire, however, the Veterans and Widows schedules are known to be the only records, which survived the fire.
MO state censuses were conducted in the following years: 1797, 1803, 1817, 1819, 1840, 1844, 1852, 1856, 1860, 1864, 1876 and 1880 (all of the censuses were incomplete)
